Peter Hansen

Executive Chairman

Peter Hansen, B.Ec (Hons) brings an enormous amount of experience in business development and has been involved as a director in many medical technology companies.  He founded The Valet Group and served as its Managing Director from 1970 to 1986, where Mr. Hansen established an electronic manufacturing facility in Singapore and took The Valet Group to the ASX in 1986. He served as Chief Executive Officer of Norwood Abbey Ltd. Mr. Hansen was responsible for the development of Norwood's business and technology and its acquisition of Transmedica International, Inc., and Spectral and their extensive technology portfolios. He has 30 years experience in product development and manufacturing operations in medical, electronic and optical businesses. Mr. Hansen served as Managing Director of a family group of companies involved in the manufacture and marketing of patented optical products. Mr. Hansen serves as the Non-Executive Chairman of Norwood Immunology Limited and has been a Non-Executive Director since 2000. He served as Executive Chairman of Norwood Abbey Limited and also its Director from 1999 to November 29, 2007. He has been the CEO and Chairman of four public companies (ASX, London, New York) and ‘Chaired’ three IPO’s.

 

Mr Ross Williams

Director

Ross Williams is the General Manager/Company Secretary of Health Networks Australia. Ross is a Chartered Accountant with an MBA from RMIT in Melbourne. Ross has over 20yrs of accounting and business experience and has worked for both large multinational/public companies as well as smaller family owned operations. Ross previously worked in the retirement/aged care industry and his previous roles included CFO to the Gandel retirement group and before that as CFO at Primelife

Michael Kenihan

Director

Michael is a past President of Sports Medicine Australia and current General Manager of Lifecare Australia which remains Australia’s number #1 provider and largest network of Allied Health and Sports Medicine practices.  He is a qualified physiotherapist and fulfilled the role of Administrator of the 2006 Commonwealth Games Medical Polyclinic.  Michael is also co-founder of Knowledge and Learning Solutions International (KALSI) whichaims to provide online learning opportunities in the clinical and business aspects of professional practice.  

 

Kiran Shah

Laboratory Manager and Senior Scientist

Dr Shah brings a wealth of experience in the area of biomedicine.  She has worked within CSL using embryonic stem cells techniques to evaluate the influenza virus.  She has also taught undergraduate medical students in the field of microbiology.  Dr Shah is Magellan’s senior scientist and is involved in the product and process development of Magellan’s regenerative cellular therapies.
