Metro Pain
The Metro Pain Group, in collaboration with the Melbourne Stem Cell Centre, is offering stem cell therapy for back pain caused by damaged vertebrae. Mesenchymal Stem Cells have been shown to reduce pain and induce joint repair in conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and discogenic lower back pain (where the pain is caused by damaged vertebrae). A recent study involving 100 patients showed significant pain relief and improvements in disability 24 months after stem cell therapy in patients with chronic low back pain (Mesoblast, 2015). A 10-patient study showed rapid improvements in chronic lower back pain as early as three months following therapy (Orozco 2011).
